A car bomb attack by the Kurdish YPG militia has killed 17 people and wounded at least 20 outside Ras al-Ain in Syria, according to the Turkish Defense Ministry.

The town is located on the Turkish border and has been a site of several attacks in the recent weeks. The Turkish ministry slammed the YPG – a terror group, as classified by Ankara – for “continuing its car bombings aimed at civilians” in a tweet.
